Small shrub with berries ID

Hello all, We moved here around two years ago and have no idea what small shrub this is. It has white flowers and then produces unusual shaped berries as in the photograph. Many thanks in advance.

A good idea, they are north facing so we will have to choose carefully. I will look at your suggestions.
