Lupin flower eaters

something is eating the very young lupin flowers. The leaves aren't touched, only the new growth buds
can anyone help

Slugs and snails most likely. I had endless trouble with them and tried all sorts then built a raised bed on the "Clark" principle, a bit of work and investment but absolutely s n s - proof! It utilises salt but doesn't kill them, which fits better with my principles - well worth the investment and effort. I downloaded instructions for it from here:
