Can anyone tell me what plant this is please? It has leaf like petals, furry on the outer side. Thank you!

    watch out for those tiny hairs. Some people have a nasty reaction to them if they get too close. Eyes and breathing problems.

    I know from experience what the hairs do. imageI was underneath a fremontodendron while pruning it and the hairs fell in my eyes.It was excruciating.Was several days before they got better!

    Aw dear, thanks for all your comments; I'll be extra careful when around it. Wondering now though whether I should actually be attempting to introduce it to my garden?! ? Would anyone recommend it, or should I steer clear?

    It would be a lovely addition to your garden,just remember to wear goggles and gloves when pruning!!!!
