Unhappy Easter Cactus

HenatronHenatron Posts: 37

Hello,

I have an Easter Cactus which I've had for about 5 years, but the last year or two it's been looking really sad. The leaves have lost their glossy greeness, and are pale, matt and sort of floppy. It feels as if all the moisture has been sucked out of them, but the compost hasn't dried out. It still always flowers really well every spring.

Help! What can I do to cheer it up?!

Try feeding it with baby bio or similar. It worked a treat on mine.

It's not too wet is it? Have you checked the roots?

I feed it with Babybio every week or two throughout the spring and summer, so it's not a lack of nutrients. Don't think it's too wet either, I only water it if the top of the compost has dried out, and I don't think I've done anything differently over the years from when it was fine to now. Maybe I should try re-potting it, maybe fresh compost will do the trick? Do I need to wait for it to finish flowering to re-pot it? Or maybe it's just a bit knackered!
