thanks for that plant pauper sweet peas are a good one to save the pods and label little pill bottles with name . this year I have had a bad year with the seeds that I have saved and I change them every year only got about 20 plants this year
I finally got mine in some compost yesterday. I don't know if I'm late for this year or early for next! Still....my early tulips are still going strong so I'm a little bit behind.
The Maderense (sorry I am hopeless with names as you may have already realized) dies down here but reseeds - so we don't have to collect the seeds nature does it all for us, although they tend to grow in the middle of a path or other inappropriate place nutcutlet. I thought of you this morning as I was walking along the cliff paths here, dappled in sunlight between the trees and smothered in wild flowers - and beautiful plants like primroses, bluebells, different types of grass, thrift etc. etc. Have you ever been over here?
Paths - we have agapanthus in our paths - they are a devil to pull out complete with roots - often the birds drop holly berries which grow where you least want them to. Spring/summer is the best time to visit Gsy. - we are entering the Britain in Bloom competitions again so the town looks wonderfully colourful at the mo.

those red things in pots are pelagoniums GD.
Nice maderense
That isn't hardy enough for long term survival here.

The window box ones which people call geraniums are actually pelargoniums. Don't ask me why although I'm sure there's a reason.
I'm thinking I need some Wargreaves pink. I love self seeders.
Michael there's a thread somewhere about the sweet pea competition. The winner hasn't been announced yet but that's all I know.

Never been GD, it sounds wonderful
I might be a bit envious
Paths make the best seed beds. I have lots of plants that started life in the drive
