Rat hole or mouse hole or something else

Hi there....
we we have been pulling back a lot of our garden, with toad pond and loads of trees and veg and found this, I suspect their rats which is a shame but not surprising as the gardens over run, thanks all

Hi robbyad. It looks like a rat hole. Hard to judge scale but I think its too large for a mouse.
hi robbyad looking at the second photo first as there is no clean way in and no weeds moved I am doutfull about a rat ,asladybird says yes to big for a mouse as precausion put some rat poison down and put a brick over hole you will find out one way or other if a new hole comes same place then it looks like a rat your council will sort it for £40 so go to b/q hope I am wrong good luck michael
