House plant ID please

jabsyjabsy Posts: 54

Hello, I've tried to have a look online but can't seem to find anything on what the plant may be.

It's my parent's plant in their house ( my mam isn't sure what it is ) and this is the first time I've ever seen it flower. I probably never noticed if it had when I was a kid ( I'm 26 now ) and I'm not a big fan of house plants in general but the flowers have amazed me.  I repotted it last year and it has romped away since. So I would be grateful if anyone could tell me what it is and also how to prune it. imageimageimage

It looks like an epiphyllum or orchid cactus..

  • Yes I agree with Ceres.  I have a pale pink one which hasn't flowered for years.  Seeing yours I must make more of an effort to look after it. (Repot, feed and generally TAKE NOTICE) ?

Thank you for all the replies, I really appreciate it :)

Aha yeah, I'm definitely going to it give more attention from now too on seeing what the flowers are like.

I never really thought about it going outside for a little, but I'll definitely try it.

    :)
