Conifer disease

imageimageimageimageimage

Hi everyone, any help or advice appreciated. You 'll see from pictures I have two conifers, one around 6 feet, the other around 15 ft. The conifers are slowly turning orangey brown. Various opinions say it's Fireblight, others say Rust. Any views on whether I can save them, or if not, the best means to dispose.

Hi Steven. Its definitely not fireblight as this only affects apples and pears and their relatives. These brown patches can be caused by several types of aphids so have a search and see if you can find any.

you can't save the ones that are brown all over, conifers don't recover from that.

If you can afford it get someone to take it down and take it away.

Sadly, yes. I am quite curious wondering how this catastrophe occurred though. No creosote or anything similar nearby? No weedkillers used nearby? Any ferocious winds lately where you are? It could be root damage due to fungi or waterlogging. Just a few things to think about.

Conifers can give up the ghost on a whim in my experience.
