Hi, i'm new to all this gardening stuff and am experimenting, i have this growing in a pot which had some kitchen waste and some soil in it. Does anyone know what it is?

It's the weed Chenopodium album commonly called goosefoot or fat-hen. It is edible but don't let it seed or you will have it in your garden forever!
