Is the branch damaged ogster? Spirea are tough old things so I wouldn't worry too much. You can hard prune them and they come bouncing back.
The branch isnt damaged, but it is all over the shrub. I meant to prune it in spring but didnt get ound to it.
I think I'd hard prune it to be honest. They're generally disease free but there's obviously something going on.
Prune back hard even now?
