Inverted Tulips
in Plants
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has ever managed to source the inverted tulip in the uk? It's a common mountain tulip from Iran (Persian name laleh vajgon). I'd love to find and (try) to grow it for my partners family.
I'm really struggling to find it anywhere online. Has anyone seen it knocking around anywhere? Maybe under a different name?
I'm an enthusiastic amateur so my research techniques are left wanting...
Any help would be massively appreciated.
Here's some photos for reference :

Fritillaria imperialis - quite common in UK gardens - I have some.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Fritillaria imperialis (crown imperial) is the nearest thing here rich. It looks like the same plant from your photos although I've not heard it called a tulip. It's a member of the lily family

But then - it's only easy if you know the answer!
