Perhaps they are a bit over the top. They are rock solid. Galvanised steel, seems well made. Not that it is was a wet summer last year. Using plant trays will probably prolong life. I sometimes shower plants inside, and sometimes take them out.
One of my rowans was sending out loads of suckers that got quite large. The tree has quite a nasty gauge/wound in it, so I fear at some point I'll loose it. I did consider swapping it for the suckers. But I assumed it was grafted, and that might not be such a good idea. I cut them back in the end. I think they are great trees, and a little different.
When I was young I remember finding a self seeded one, and asked what it was, and I was told that it was a pest. Totally undervalued. People moan about ash trees. So perhaps the rowan had picked up that reputation, because of the similarities. I assume that's why it's called mountain ash in the first place.
I have been reading Wayside and Woodland trees by Edward Step. An older book. It lists many different names for trees. In the pear section the sorbuses were listed as pyruses.

The only twice my greenhouse came to grief was when I snuck up on next door's cats. They just bolted and went through the glass both times.
you must be very scary pp
The staging has not rusted yet. One unit was left outside last summer. Can't guarantee anything, but so far so good.
wow that's surprising for the price isn't it!
I wandered in so they jumped so I jumped which made them jump....you know the drill.
I can be a bit scary as well but only with humans.
