Is my Wisteria dead?
Hi there, we have a large Wisteria in the garden which we inherited when we move into our house. It hasn't yet flowered but seems to be showing some buds on some new growth. Should it have flowered by now or do some varieties flower later (I can see plenty of others in bloom around us). I think it may be dying but the new growth and buds offer me some hope. Can anyone offer some advice.
Thanks

No expert but I suspect it might be...or in the process of dying... Unless you're very far north (?), it should be in more or less full bloom by now. Did it get hit by frost?
Hello Prof, prune a branch off thats concerning you. If the core particularly brown or totally brown its dying or totally dead
We are in Kent and haven't had much frost at all this year. I did break part of a branch of earlier and it wasn't brown inside. The branch had a bit of flex to it and didn't snap like a dead branch would, but it felt like it might be a bit dry. All in all a bit confusing!
Well, it certainly should be in flower by now but I would leave it alone and see what happens. If it doesn't leaf up it's a gonna but if it fails to flower but gets plenty of leaf growth, I'd give it another season.
