Thank you Ladybird. Where can I buy this plant, does anyone know?
The knowledge on here is astounding.
Aym just the other day and yes London. I work opposite it but never have time to go as I live far...here photos I took of the resident black swans in the beautiful Japanese Garden.
Can't to go again a few weeks to St Mary Rose garden. Ingrid Bergman had one impressive bloom already:
The senecio grows easily from seed and is widely available as a foliage plant for patio containers. It is actually a tender perennial. MIne still looked good last autumn and I didn't want to throw it out, so over-wintered it in the GH and took cuttings off it this spring.
wakeshine: Wish you could go there during lunch time. It's lovely there in June when all the roses are out. On Sunday, there are so many people of different nationalities there that there is this buzz. I miss that so much. Quite a bit of landscaping there, too. Hope you can hire a boat out and relax for a while. I guess comes 5pm, you think of nothing but commuting.
I was lucky to buy 10 for £1 from the 'sick bay' trolley at B&Q last autumn. After giving them a good watering and a bit of tlc I planted them outside in my winter tubs, they are still looking good and are now planted out in the borders. I have also bought a pkt of seeds from B&Q but have not yet sown them, they are lovely and really stand out.

Oh I wish I could have a cutting ;-)
I will look out for it in my local garden centre!
