I want a shrubby type evergreen hardy plant for a very large pot on a north-facing wall - it gets very little sun. Ideally growing to 4-5 foot. Any ideas?
Hi Alex. Here are a few to think about: choisya, euonymus and sarcocca.
Bay tree. It could get bigger but you can keep it pruned . You can shape it as well if you want to. It doesn't have to be a lollipop.
Drat - just spotted typo - sarcococca!
Are there any ferns which are evergreen, hardy and grow to 3-4 feet? I haven't got any ferns.
The shuttlecock fern - Matteuccia struthiopteris - is the only big fern I know apart from tree ferns but it is not evergreen.
