Do slugs or snails eat coriander

in Fruit & veg
I grew some coriander in a patch, it was all coming up, I could see the leaves one day. Next day it has all disappeared. What creatures eat coriander?I don't grow any other veg or herbs in that area except mint and that's in pots.

In the past my garden has been hoaching with slugs but my coriander did well from June onwards.
Okay yeah maybe it's frost....but I couldn't find any dead bits of the leaf anywhere...I wish I'd just grown it in a pot!
Definately not frost! Coriander is pretty hardy, I've been cropping coriander sown this year outside since March here in Central Scotland and I always sow in August for cropping throughout winter (outside!). Possible it's slugs but even they wouldn't touch the stalks
In my admittedly limited experience they'll eat anything. They've eaten my caraway plant and had a good go at purple sage and lemon balm too.
