Surfina bedding plants

in Plants
Just been to buy some surfina bed plants are to my surprise there seems to be a great shortage of them this year. Normally they are packed to the rafters in the GC and in smaller outlets but there seems basically nothing out there
Anybody else had any problems with buying this plant this years

Where do you live Steve?
I know where there is a greenhouse full.
You're maybe a wee bit late. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago.
Hi Fidget bones
i live in Birmingham and normally I grow them from seed but this year I am finding in very hard to buy them in GC. As said, I might be a bit too late in the season now so I will have to see if any other GC have an abundance of them
You're a bit far away.
They seem very popular at the moment plus GC's have been running out of stock around here. The main few weeks for people to buy them.
there's still a few in my local esk that i bought last week, i'm in th south east so not much use to you.
i also started growing from seed this year but they have been so slow! I sowed them in february in seed compost, i started them with a heat mat but they are still very small, have you any advice on what to do next year as i do use a lot of them in my window boxes etc, once they had their first det of true leaves i moved them to a north facing window sill but they took forever to grow anything more for weeks, they are still too small to even move out of the first size pot, the teeny pots with no roots even poking through yet, what am i doing wrong?
It happens to me sometimes, but reason may be diverse. Anyway,
petunias hate too much water, they stunt right away...
morrisons had some surfina petunias today, £1 each, looked a bit sad so i got them for 45p
I usually grow Surfininas but this year, I too had not seen any for sale.. I planted lots of different Violas instead... I never thought of Morrisons, trouble is the nearest one is miles away..

Its summer in my back garden today, but not a hot summer...
