Looking for plant suggestions for a front garden makeover. It's north facing, fairly shady but does get.wind battered with salty sea air. Tia.

My community group plants trees and sometimes shrubs in our coastal town. In terms of trees, tamarisks would cope, or if you want something bigger holm oak or maybe whitebeam. We plant them in very windy conditions by the coast. Shrubs you're probably looking at euonymus, eleagnus, pyracantha (car park / municipal plants I'm afraid!). Size of plant seems to be important too - don't put things in that are too big, get them smaller and let them establish - but not too small! I can't give you any suggestions for perennials but others might be able to. Good luck!

Thank you. That's given me a couple of different ideas. I think I'll go down the shrub route and add a few pots with flowers that I can replace if they become to weathered. X
