May I ask why you fed your laurel epsom salts?

    The garden centre suggested it.

Hi angie. The reason I asked is that there is usually enough of what the epsom salts provide in the soil. Sometimes it helps to spray the plants with a solution of epsom salts if there is a problem. Looking at your laurel it may be that the leaves have suffered wind burn or late frosts but they seem to be a little more yellow than normal. Now we have hopefully got some nicer weather I would just leave things as they are and watch for developments. What is your soil like?

Hello, many thanks for taking the time to look at my issue and offer help.?

When you say what's the soil like I haven't done a PH test but could do.

Generally the soil is good but can sometime stay wet for a while after the winter but dry as a bone in the summer. I thought maybe it was overly dry last summer so took to watering it.

    Surrounded by large mature trees.

West facing, about 8ft high 3ft deep and 9 mtrs long.

Ive done some research but don't think it's mildrew but then I'm not an expert. I took some leaves to my local garden centre who said to use the Epsom salt to put the green back into the plant.

Should I spray? Do I need to feed? They were like this last year and I really don't want to loose my hedge.

    many thanks

    Angie
