Whilst clearing out a corner of the garden which has been dominated by a large Portuguese Laurel and other evergreen shrubs I came across this rather pleasant looking specimen. I had no idea it was even there! Size approx 4' high and the same spread. Any ideas folks?

Chaenomeles japonica by the look of it.
Flowering or Japanese quince.
