lilac tree is dying

My lilac tree is dying the flowers have turned brown and the leaves have a brown mark on them. I have another tree in the garden which upon close inspection appears to be dying also.
Is there anything I can do to save these trees as they are well established.

I'm in tbe same boat has you Lis. Your problem sounds like Lilac bacterial blight and blitzed its way through my mature lilacs in a a week. Killing them from top to bottom.I don't think theres an effective treatment. Only prevention by keeping the centre open to to encourage good air flow.
