This plant (we call it The Thing!) is springing up as fast as I can pull it out! What is it please?

Hi there. Its alkanet - and a real thug! even the tiniest piece of root left behind will grow again
Best way to deal with it is give it a blast of glyphosphate (roundup etc)
Then give it another blast 7-10 days later.
Then wait until the whole thing is dead - about 4 weeks, then you can pick up the remains and put in the rubbish.
Don't be tempted to pull it up sooner, often people wait until the plant just wilts then pull it up - it'll just re-grow, let the glyphosphate do its stuff.
