I enjoy my membership. There aren't many gardens I can visit in the north tho.

i do use the advice section, along with here of course!

i enjoy the mag as much as this one which I have online, this way there is always something to read

Hostafan, I've been a classical music fan since the age of six or so... I put it badly, it isn't the age, it's the lifestyle they target in those ads.

Lily Pilly, in a few years' time you'll have a brand new RHS garden in the North!

  • I received membership as a Christmas gift and love it. I've been to Harlow Carr a couple of times, had seeds from the seed scheme, got discounted tickets to Tatton Park show and plan to visit Harlow Carr's show next month. The magazine is good too. Technically, this hasn't cost me anything since it was a gift, however I will renew my membership myself when it expires.

The new garden is Worsley Old Hall, near Salford, I believe. I'm awaiting its arrival with excitment, though its not due to open until 2019.

  • Did you mean Chatsworth Aster2? https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/rhs-chatsworth-flower-show.

Just 30 minutes drive for us in Rotherham.

No, I meant Bridgewater, but the Chatsworth show looks lovely, I wish I lived closer.

Aster I'm probably of the target generation but there's no way I could afford those cruises either and I don't think I know many (if any) who can!

Thanks, Dove, realising that the ads are in fact aimed at a minor part of the membership has stopped me feeling excluded. image

  • I'm a member, helps that we are twenty minutes from Wisley so we go for a walk around fairly often.
