I hate ground elder (never had it before)

  • I have some . I'm going to have a dig and a cuss at it later, if the weather holds. I'm not averse to using something a bit meatier than my vocabulary if needs be.

    I have it on both sides of the garden. I dug up as much as could and kept it covered with weed membrane for a year or two. Yes, very ugly... I 've uncovered one side this winter and planted annuals just in case. If all goes ok this summer, i'll plant more permanent things next year. The other side is not uncovered yet... Ground elder, nettles, brambles and all sorts. I now know why there was a hedge in front of the fence! ? I wouldn't say no to a little squirt if it grows through established plants! Good luck!
