baby spiders?
when I went out earlier I saw what looked liked a cluster of light brownish orangey seeds in a cobweb, when i poked at the cluster loads of what looked like baby spiders tumbled out... they were on a hardy geranium which is by lots of pots with all ,my plants waititng to be planted, are they harmless or do I need to act? only real damage I've seen in from snails on lots of young plants and something is having a good eat of potted raspberry

Hi Rosemummy, I have the same I think, no idea about them though, maybe someone else will be able to ID them, I have a picture
Here are my Spiderlings in the greenhouse
They are baby spiders. So very cute.
They are helping me overcome my irrational fear of spiders!
can't be afraid when they are that ickle
.....unless they gang up on me!.....

Gorgeous. I remember having some on a plant years ago, and when you touched the tight ball they made, they scattered at a million miles an hour!
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I had some on one of my bins last year but cannot find that picture to upload it
I will do when I find it.
Fairy I must say I was fascinated, I may have blown gently to watch them scatter
Maybe we should put these posts on the pet companions thread
thanks all, no I won't harm them, just wish they'd eat the slugs and snails...
