What's wrong with my broad beans?

CAn anyone tell me what is wrong with this plant?  As well as spotting on the leaves, the flowers all seem to go black and fall off.  None of the plants have pods on them, and I'd have thought they should by now (autumn-sown).

Looks like white rust similar to that on chrysanths, are there postules on the underside of the leaves, is that what the spots are.

No, the leaves look the same underneath as on top - covered with yellow spots.  If it was white rust, what would you do?

Awful really when I had it it was destroy the plants by burning, I have looked at my gardening books and find nothing to compare, what soil conditione do you have, and is the soil prone to waterlogging, our beans have beans ready to pick within this next week on fairly dry soil, must admit I haven't had the problem you have ever, this year I sowed the seeds into 11cm pots and planted out February, after being in a cold frame, over wintered plants haven't done well down here in South Wales, we grow overwintered onions and for the last two years including this one a dismal failure, hope someone can help you.
