Over the last few rainy/sunny days these are sprouting in their hundreds in all my flower beds. I doubt it's something I have sown. Could anyone tell me the name please?

The leaves are rectangular  2cm wide by 1cm deep (if that helps)image

They look like my bergenias but I don't know if they self seed. They have a thick waxy leaf.

I think you need to wait for the first " true" leaves to develop.

    Devon.

Thanks, I will wait and post again. I find it strange that there are so many sprouting in all the beds - both front and back.

what did you grow last year that might have seeded well?

Well, nutcutlet - I will be honest (and probably cause your eyebrows to rise) last year was my first year of gardening on a long neglected garden. I dug over all the beds - planned my garden and planted the seeds in different areas- a large number of varieties. Then I think I weeded most of them out! Doh! Now I plant seeds in those fibre pots marked with a name so I don't do it again. So to answer your question .. a lot of seeds. I will wait for the next set of leaves.
