Tiny pink/red eggs or scat?

i have a raised vegetable garden and found what appears to be pink/red eggs or scat.  I removed them and the next day there was a new bunch.  imageDoes anyone know exactly what they are?

Hi scmirabella. This looks to me like a fungus. One of the Ascocoryne group. Not totally sure which one though.

    Interesting Sunday morning start.

Not being an expert on anything but my mind is always curious to explore the unknown in nature.

So, (I know I shouldn’t start with “So” but…), I looked around on the web and came across a description and study of slime moulds and their fruiting bodies. There were pictures of almost exactly what you have. If you can be bothered, here is the link:-

Also it stated that they were found almost always on rotting wood and I notice you have bark chipping in you growing medium.

The mould/Fungus could be associated with that.
