I'd just use a proprietary weed and feed product for the grass - like Evergreen or similar. The healthier the grass is, the harder it is for other plants/weeds to get a foothold. You may need to apply a few times through the season.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

The lawn weed I've been moaning on about is "dovesfoot cranesbill". Apparently a weedkiller with Dicamba & Mecoprop will do the trick but only after maybe two applications.

Sounds a bit like speedwell. If it is i'd use a weed and feed, but will most likely need multiple applications over the year.

Could also be ground ivy which is even harder to get rid of by all accounts.
Could also be dovesfoot cranesbill. Which persists due to seeds in the soil so will take multiple seasons to get rid of it.
