Need help to identify plant / weed

    Euphorbia lathyris aka Caper Spurge https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euphorbia_lathyris 

    They often pop up in gardens at this time of year.  

    I like them, but beware of getting the white sap on your skin as it can cause a nasty rash like a burn, especially in strong sunlight.

    I also like them, but some regard them as a pest.

    thank you, that is much appreciated. We too like the look if it but wasn't sure if it may be harmful to pets as we have a terrier who likes to explore in the garden

    We had them in the garden with several dogs and they ignored them, but if yours is the sort of terrier who insists on eating everything it might be as well to get rid of it.  Just brushing against it and being around it shouldn't cause a problem.
