A summer version of aubretia

Can anyone recommend a ground cover perennial plant which will flower in the summer in very shallow soil please?  Something like aubretia but flowers in the summer.

    Cerastium tomentosum Also known as Snow in Summer but can get a bit carried away with itself! I have it covering a particlurly ugly wall and it does a fine job.

    There are also things like rock roses and sedum, thyme...

    Oh that's brilliant.  Lots of choice there.  Thanks everyone!  

    Verdun, hi!  Lol, I had almost made up my mind to get the NEPETA, but we have a lovely but rather annoying Manx cat who has taken a liking to a lot of my plants and has single handedly eaten all the leaves of one of my new little acers!  I think nepeta may be asking for trouble :-) :-)
