Bonsai Tree (Weeds appearing?)
Hello guys and thanks for taking time to help me out!
I got a bonsai starter kit as a present for Christmas and pretty much followed the instructions. I read the success rates are low so did not really expect much. but suddenly I started to get some success, however there seems to be big weeds growing (I think). With me being such a newbie I was wondering if you guys could tell me what is the best solution. My first instinct is that these are weeds and I should pull them out ASAP as they will be taking sun/water/space etc. That said with this being my first time growing I will leave it up to the experts (you guys) to help me.
Also any advice for other plants, bonsai trees, etc I can grow in doors would be appreciated
Thanks!
Joe

the one with all the spiky upright bits at the back of the first photo is a conifer.
I can't ID all those seedlings but suspect most of them are trees

the starter kit I got as a present had alot of "mixed seeds" in the packet and said plant them in each pot. So it would make sense they are trees. I just assumed they were weeds because I thought they should all look like the conifer.
No other tree looks like a conifer.
The others look all the same and I don't know what they are. See if anyone else does. If not prick out a couple into separate pots and discard the rest unless you want loads all the same. More will germinate, trees germinate at vastly different rates.
If nothing else happens stick the pots in plastic bags in the fridge for a few weeks and see what happens after that.

Very good advice Nutcutlet. Thanks!
Appreciate the comment Phillippa
I will definitely look into ficus for an indoor choice.
