Tomatoes
in Fruit & veg
I received the free tomato seeds from Gardeners World but the seedlings that are growing (only 3/ or 4 out of the whole packet!) are definitely NOT tomatoes! Anyone else had this? I can send photo if anyone can identify these little plants

Thanks I would love to send the photo but don't seem to be able to! I have a PC Windows 10 anyone help?
Do you know how to download the photos from your camera to your PC?
If you do, it's just a matter of clicking on the camera icon that is just above the area where you type a message (top right)
So at the place where you want your photo to appear click on the camera icon when you reply, that will open a file explorer window. Find your photo, then double click on your photo and after a few seconds you photo 'should' appear within your message.

Thanks we shall wait and see!! I'm really late with tomatoes now! Good job I had some different ones already.
Cynthia I had two packets of those Super Tomato seeds from GW and in fact there is a thread a month or two back on this topic. None of my seeds germinated and many other readers had the same problem with these seeds. I didn't sow any other tomato seeds but I am pleased that you have other tomato seedlings.
Thanks for that I suppose we should be wary of the freebies in future
Perhaps, but they worth a shot Cynthia - in fact I had some lovely Cosmos last year from the free packet in GW mag , also some zinnia seeds which were very colourful so I wouldn't write them off just for one dud packet - not their fault after all - I would say that it was the supplier at fault - but hey ho that is the part of the journey in gardening - some things grow and others don't and we don't always know the reason why even though we cosset the plants with food, water and warmth.
