Star jasmine turning brown

i would be very greatful for any suggestions as to why my new jasmine is turning brown. I was planted 3 weeks ago and went growing like wild fire at first then the past week it's not grown and the leaves are turning golden brown. It's planted in a sunny spot but kept well watered and fed. I have never grown jasmine before so not sure what I am doing wrong. Sorry the photos are side ways not sure what has happened there. Many thanks in advance .imageimageimage

Does this link help Faywray? It looks like new leaves are forming to me but I wasn't sure and then I found this.

  • Thanks Plant Pauper.

I think I can see new growth but it may have had it - maybe it doesnt like being in an old tin bath. My partner builds all the heavy stuff. He's a cabinet maker by trade but now has a wee exhibition building business so we have an endless supply of wood. I have huge planters made from scaffold boards, a shed from off cuts and my fences made from reclaimed wood from old displays. He is handy to have ... Except for plants, to him, if it doesn't have a bulb it's a weed! So I have to wait until it warms up in spring to sort out the garden. I can't touch cold things ( long story ) so in the winter my garden is nicknamed the 'Garden of Death ' .

I have been looking at all the pictures of all your gardens and its awe inspiring- I am such a novice. I just plant stuff I like not knowing whether it will like where it is or not. Eeh I will learn ...
