if you cut it right back now it won't flower for ages, as it is now it will flower in about a month.
agree, I would cut all the outside garden ones right down to the ground, but I wouldn't cut yours back at all Ck, it's nice and bushy as it is. You could trim back the extra long bits and leave the middle.
