weeds around tree bedding area
Hi,
I cut grass in my lawn as this house was recently purchased.
However, there are lot of weeds around the tree in the bedding area.
My neighbour suggested not to cut as weeds will go every where.
see pics pls. It is large area so I need something concentrated and not harmful for my trees.
My plan is once this area is weed free and clear I put something so grass/weeds do not grow there so any suggestions are welcome to achieve that

Your neighbour was right about the dandelion clocks. Those wee fluffs will go everywhere. Pull them off, as best you can, by hand and try not to let any get away. Easier said than done. Gloyphosphate weedkiller applied to the dandelion leaves will see them off.
You can then turn your attention to the rest. The main one in picture three is a bramble.(blackberry). They have prickly stems and are very whippy so be careful. Wear stout gloves. Any I have that are that size I cut to about 15cm and dab with weedkiller. Probably SBK which is for woody, difficult plants. If you're not a fan of weedkiller you could dig it out.
After that by what I can see you could probably strim the long grass down taking care not to go too close or damage the trees.
You might find that once you're down in looking up close there will be a couple of wee treasures. Don't be too quick with the strimmer!

It could be very difficult to protect your trees and shrubs from chemicals. Personally, I would do it the traditional way and pull the weeds by hand. It isn't really a big area and a few sessions will do it! You need to remove as much root as possible and afterwards, pull up any re-emerging growth as soon as you see it.
grass there is bug so difficult to manually remove weeds
any spray will help?
