how to eradicate Carex pendula Weeping Sadge

Our new garden has a lot of weeping sedge (Carex pendula) how on earth do you get rid of it? We have dug a lot of it out but there still seem to be lots of fibrous roots in the soil should we burn/ weedkill/ keep digging?

  • Someone once gave us a small plant, they said it was dierama, we planted it by our pond, suddenly it is everywhere, not difficult to dig out but don't let it seed.
