Cactus is looking a little worse for wear

Hi everyone!

I'm an avid Cactus/succulent grower, and have been for around 2 years now. However, I've recently come across a problem with my oldest cactus that I haven't ever had to deal with before. I have no idea what it is, or what I can do about it.

Above is the cactus in question. It's developed the strange colouring, as you seen see in the picture above.

Happy to provide more pictures if necessary, but I really hope someone can help. I've had this one for around 7 years and it would be a shame to have to get rid of him.

Your plant is actually a Euphorbia, not a cactus - cacti do not have single spines. One possibility is red spider mite, which you would be able to see if you look closely. This might help:-
