Light grass patches in my grass

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to the gardening world so please bear with me! I've noticed some light green patches in our grass which seem to be spreading. From the research I've done I think it might be Poa trivialis.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Good for golf apparently. Not sure about a spotty lawn though. image

  • Thanks for your help, has anyone had any success in getting rid of the stuff?
