  i thought it was a poppy but leaves don't look right but it's beautiful, if that's a weed i'd keep it

  Weed? Flower? A rose by any other name... keep it and hope you get some more

  thanks guys....yeah, I am keeping it I had planted an african Lily and thought this might have been it, but no.....seen a few others, but had already pulled them before I got to this one!! lol

  The perennial oriental poppies (like the one in your pic) have hairy leaves.  The large annual poppies you usually see (opium poppies) have smooth leaves.

  A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
