How to get rid of....

Please identify this plant/weed. Over past few years it has spread further and further and is suffocating my small plants. It dies back over winter then comes up may time. It has white flowers and pungent smell. The backs of the leaves are quite reddy purple. Each leaf has its own root. I need to get rid of it,can anyone help.
