Strange plant

Hello all, my and my neighbour haven't got a clue what this plant is, it came out of nowhere in my garden, my house used to be owned by a keen gardener and lucky for me it was filled with plants, this is a cutting he has cultivated off mine, had anyone got an idea what it is?

It is Euphorbia Lathyris, it is said to deter moles. It is a annual and if left will send its seeds all around your garden. I usually pull up the ones I don't want and just keep a few.
It doesn't have nice flowers like other Euphorbia, it can be bought in your garden with the wind,birds or in other plants.
Cool plant. I've never seen one like it! What a peculiar leaf arrangement.
