    Yes, they've missed each other so far but hopefully some more will come out before the clematis finishes.

    It looks like Clematis Niobe B3, lovely.

    I wondered what  it was.

    There is  a late flowering one close by which came back to life about four years ago when we had the fence replaced. The soil disturbance must have wakened  it up or moved it to a more suitable level. Anyway, it's rampant now!

    Fly, yours is lovely too. When you think about the effort we put in to getting the conditions right ! Maybe they have a wicked sense of humourimage

    Don't think it's Niobe - not really red enough.

    B3, your resurrection clem looks exactly like one I have just outside my front door.  It's in a ridiculously narrow border with a tarmac drive in front of it in full sun for most of the day.  I have never fed it and only watered it a couple of times in the four years I've been here but it's as vigorous and healthy as can be.  It's smothered in flowers and rampages up it's inadequate trellis support at a rate of knots.  It simply shouldn't survive according to clematis law but it does.

    It's a much richer,velvety, bluey -purple than shown in the picture.
