What is this weed! Please Help
I have this weed growing all over my garden. It is fast growing, doesn't produce flowers, it looses it leaves and stops growing in winter. It's like a tree, there is a big tree like one in the corner of the garden i need to get rid of it but want to identify it first.
Please help!

Those are ash tree seedlings - get them out - dig them out - before you're living in the middle of a forest of huge trees.

I agree and do it quick otherwise the roots will grow deep and you'll have a devil of a job getting them out. If you can't dig them out because of the position next to the wall and drainpipe, use SBK brushwood killer.
Thank you very much!!
I have a big one that grew very tall... I cut it down to around a metre as its awkward position can't get it down much further.. what would be the best way to kill it? Can I get some sort of weed killer?
SBK is a weedkiller for shrubby and woody plants. They won't be affected by "normal" weedkillers. Definitely do something soon. Ash trees are a disaster near property. I have them at the end of my garden and they are about 70ft high and very unattractive. I love trees but those are last to leaf, first to drop and branches fall off all the time. Awful things.
Thank you for your responses
Also after doing Google search ash trees have seeds pods, I've not seen any pods on these plants? Is there something similar to ash tree it could be ir is it a variety of an ash tree
Once again I'm very grateful for your help
I'm ordering the SBK on Amazon as we speak

There's whole big bit on this site about them.

Your trees aren't big enough to produce seeds, but an ash tree somewhere near you is doing so. Learn to recognise the seedlings as they pop up and pull them out when they're just a few inches tall. We have large ash trees at the end of our garden and we just pull and hoe the seedlings each year and don't let them become a nuisance.

Hi there. A simple way to identify the twigs of the common ash is that the buds on them are black in colour with the twig's bark being gray.
