I strimmed my allium!

Hi all, this is my first thread.

I accidentally strimmed my allium today (stem was about 5" high of its 18" max height!)

Do you know if it'll still grow and flower this year or have I ruined it for this year? (I really hope not!)

Please help as I'm gutted I did it.

Thanks

If you've taken out the flower bud it won't make another one but if there were only leaves you might be lucky.

Aw. That's such a shame. Someone has had all their tulips beheaded by something unknown! Seems like it's the day for it. image

Uhmmm I think you may have to wait until next year:(   find a good scattering of forget-me-knots cover a multitude of accidents. Give them lots of miracle grow and they burst in to life giving s ground cover (and as I say) cover up whoopsies

Last year my allium became a target for both his lordship and the hound to trample. Most had their flower heads trampled their leafs crushed. My lord mess didn't cover it.

You'll be pleased to know that they've all come up this year; not as strong as previously but I'm hoping with feed and nurture they'll recover for a great display next year.

    Good luck!
