Petunia night sky

I fell in love when I saw this on the T&M site 2 months ago and ordered some straight away. Image taken from the website:

Mine flowered today. Looks like this:

image Looking at it sitting the piano now it looks very much purple. Has anyone else's come out this colour? Are there any tricks to make it more blue or more speckled?

I still love it, I just want it to be slightly more 'wow' image

Maybe I'm asking for too much... image

I have planted a few of these lovely little petunias too, outside & they haven't come into flower yet as I keep pinching the new growth so that the plants will bush up a bit before flowering - I will take a photo when they do flower Emma.

Saw some in th gc. They were violet blue and very speckled. I assume it varies from plant to plant. I think yours are nicer.

    In London. Keen but lazy.

I love them hard and was about to stuff my basket in the garden centre before I realised I don't have so much of an inch left to plant them in so I put them back :-(

Good thing we're all different. They don't do it for me at all -  but then my petunias get plenty of white spots from the rain, so I don't want moreimage

My Daughter and I got them as plugs from T&M this year and they're in bud but not yet flowering. Yours look lovely, I'm looking forward to seeing them all in flower.

  • Hi Emma

Mine look a little bit more like the picture.  Only a couple of them have flowered as yet.image

I bought them as part of my new pink/blue/purple boarder!!

(Sorry about the quality of the pic!!  I've been away so only just had a chance to snap it before it got dark)

Mine have quite a lot of white on them. I don't like them very much, but they were free with my plug plant order.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
