Anaglyptus mysticus

Hi Tetley. I love your stumpery! Now that you know you have got that beetle around you need to be armed with your camera when you are working near that fabulous feature. I remember anaglypta too - and what a pain it was to scrape it off when you had got fed up of overpainting it to death! image

    I thought you had made that up. I was accused of making up Amaranthus hypochondriacus, last year when my sister in law asked what the red tasselly things I had in some vases were.
