I'm loving this thread sad stories and all!!!

Lantana I had a dog for nearly seventeen years and she had been a stray brought to me by the security man. We never found out where she came from and I often thought about her owners and how they felt. That dog had the life of Reily and tortured me for every day of those years so as Pat says, maybe that's what has happened to a Ruby.

    RB that's a big beaut!!

She was the cutest thing you ever saw. A proper birthday card dog and I fell for her. She was only about 7 months when I got her.

I took her to the vet for jabs and check ups and there was a man there with two English bulldogs. He looked at my wee scrap and said "That's a Patterdale! They're a nightmare. I have two of them and they'd fight to the death"!

Noooooo not this wee cutie piiiiiie. That man was so right.I think the polite word is feisty. She would have started a fight in an empty house. She was the most disobedient escape artist I've ever had about me and I wish I had a pound for every time she was returned to me on the end of a piece of string, washing line, dressing gown cord....you name it. She was a shocker!!!

There was one on "me or the dog" and it ran away from Victoria Stilwell and disappeared. I've seldom felt so vindicated!

I loved her to bits but she's the only dog I've ever had that had me in tears of frustration and I'll never have another one. The pic isn't her, as I don't have any uploadable ones of her, but it's really like her.

Picture won't go. There seems to be a lot of that this morning. I'll post one later.

I can't believe how well behaved these cat/dog combos are. They must have grown up together.

    See original post

We've had the dog nearly 3 years and its taken that long for the cat to start liking her! Cat is definately boss image

I posted earlier about our dog, happy to say he is home from veterinary hospital and well on the way to recovery (and has his cheekiness back, pinching garden tools etc.) Here he is a week or so ago (not in our garden lol)

Our 3rd cat has refused to have anything to do with the other two cats at all for 4 years and they have to live in separate parts of the house with the door shut firmly inbetween, we have long given up trying to integrate them.

Most of you will know Reggie from posts around the forum.

He's 2 years old (today!) German Shepherd with a dash of husky and possibly runt of the litter as he's only 29kg. He came into our life aged 8 months when we adopted him from a rescue charity. He's not been without his problems (emotional scars from abuse and neglect not to mention a dietary problem that we're almost on top of now) but he's absolutely adorable and so very spoilt!
