The cat isn't strictly ours but he shares our garden and we love him - the two tortoises were given to me by our daughters when they left home (the daughters) - the smaller has only one working eye so I have to hand feed him.
Thanks pp - yes the tail looks like a huge question mark - he is a great mouser and has only had one bird (1 too many) so far, which we managed to rescue from him. Yes the tortoises love dandelions and most salad foods - and they like clover which grows all over our lawn.
Lantana, such lovely stories and photos. Maybe Ruby found a good home and stayed there.
the koala photo you mentioned could have been taken at the Tidbinilla Nature Reserve near Canberra. They used to have a koala walk where you could follow a path and each day the Rangers would put a sign on which trees had a koala in it. I haven't been there for years (when the kids were small) so I don't know if they still do it. My youngest is now 42.

I can't believe how well behaved these cat/dog combos are. They must have grown up together.
Love that photo. They look so comfortable together.

Smashin tail that cat!
You could let me have your tortoises for a week to tend to the dandelions. Beatrice (the guinea pig) can only do so much!
