Gosh Pat, your native animals are so different from ours. Is that a porcupine? I suppose we have hedgehogs. And here in SW France we have little grey lizards that sun themselves on the stone walls.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi Lizzie. The porcupine is officially called an echidna. They are very shy and they crouch down when you get near them. They eat ants, which of course we are happy with. (Nippy things).
Here are Mitch and Mollie, our German Shepherds. Both rescue dogs and not related. Mollie sadly died a couple of years ago but Mitch is still following me around the garden.
Blimey Pat. Talk about a touch of the exotic! And great quality pictures too.
Hard to believe that those two cuties aren't related Vv. They're so alike. My mum bred shepherds back in the day and although she's had border collies since then, she'll freely admit that, as far as looks go, shepherds are her favourite.
They don't seem exotic to me, p pauper! Just the usual visitors here. There are more, but I don't want to overload you all. I will put one photo of visitors which I think are lovely.
These are owl-faced finches. Photo from bedroom window with iPad, so not brilliant.
We live near the Snowy Mountains -about 1 hour drive along winding roads. We are currently reaping the delightful winds off the snow fields , and are expecting minus 5 I think tomorrow morning.
I'm going to risk being growled at by the next photo, because many Forkers have seen this one before.

Have you a photo of your lizards?

I had an Aussie ski instructor once and he said you guys call it like it is. He was talking, at the time, about The Snowy mountains!
Those are in fact owl faced finches! They couldn't be called anything else!

this is from our front veranda.
Now that photo does not say Australia to me. Those poor boys look as if they're in Edinburgh Zoo!!!
I'd better let you all get back to your pets. I didn't mean to take over the thread,
Cat and dog. ?
